Official sources. Clear availability.
Official-source discovery
The updater checks official Steam upcoming releases, Xbox Store pre-order results, PlayStation upcoming pages, PlayStation Blog and Xbox Wire. It reads a bounded set of supported sources, not every website on the internet. This public preview shows retained source checks: read the last-checked timestamp and confirm current availability at the store.
A headline is a lead, not a paid offer
Official news is displayed with a source link. A game is added only after a supported official store confirms the title, artwork and upcoming status. An open pre-order label additionally requires a purchase option at that official source. No news text can change GameCounter payment permissions.
Availability can change
Dates, editions, prices and countries are controlled by the publisher. Checks older than 24 hours are labeled for rechecking. Source failures preserve the last verified data and its original timestamp. Released titles leave the active pre-order collection automatically.
Where the purchase happens
The primary button opens the verified official store. GameCounter does not collect pre-order payments. Local checkout requires a separately approved merchant catalog, inventory/fulfillment arrangements and provider integration. Saving a watchlist entry is not a reservation or an email alert.
